Orb Studios Artists Collective, Blackpool's only community-based artist studio was established at the Comrades Club on Adelaide Street in 2003, by Nick Kowalski, course leader of the BA Hons in Fine Art at Blackpool College of Art and Design. To quote our aim, "We do not have a 'programme' still less a manifesto. We do however exchange ideas and seek advice in order to generate an ad hoc pool of experience based knowledge".
